I've had the truck since like January and it just started doing something strange. every now and then the oil light blips on for a second and the guage drops to nothing. then the light goes right back out and the guage comes back up to normal. A friend of mine works for ford and said there was a Technical service bulletin that says the wires going to the oil pressure sending unit are getting rubbed by the oil drain chute and intermitenly shorting out. he says the service bulletin recomends removing the chute and cutting a little section of it out to keep it away from the wires. Has anyone had this issue before or know if it sounds practical? i looked under there and its all pretty jamed up and i cant really see the wires to see if they are being effected. oh yea its an 01 expedition 4x4 xlt
