If you had a power steering pump on your 78-79 bronco( other years may be built the same-I do not know. But if it leaks bad like mine done. Take it off the bronco--pull the cover off the backside-clean it up real good. Take the band out and clean the grove and band also. Now when it gets good and dry. Take some sealer--the kind you use on the thermostat and valve covers. Put a little on yopur finger -go aronud the grove-put the seal back in-put another coat on-wipe off excess--let it set for awhile to set up-put the cover back on -then re-install it on your bronco. I fixed mine back in 1991 and it is still not leaking. Hope this helps someone and it will save you from buying a pump.
