Well after 3 separate junk yard trips I got all the parts needed to do my 4bbl rebuild. My father in law and I rebuilt it on friday night including a thorough cleaning. We put it on saturday morning and had a leak to contend with. The fuel rod that goes between the two bowls was leaking, so we disassembled it in place and found the rubber oring had ripped while we put it together. We had a spare and put it in. No leaks and now she runs like a scolded dog. All I need to do is tweak the curb idle. Once she gets good and warmed up it is a dream to drive but until then the idle is rather rough. Any thoughts on how to get the desired reults out of the carb? I know there are those two little idle air mix screws to dork with but are there any other settings that i need to adjust. I did all of the other dry adjustments before the carb went on.
