Hello -

I have been lurking here for a few weeks now since I purchased my 1991 Bronco EB. I've saved several posts for future reference.

I am trying to install a Crime Guard alarm system. It is only going to be used for the keyless entry, so I won't be installing the alarm portion.

I have my relays set up as shown in the 2nd diagram. I wanted to make sure I am connecting the correct wires to the relays, so I labeled them on the diagram. Can someone verify that I have the correct wires labeled?

Also, I have read conflicting options on which side of the cab you need to do the wiring. I have the kickplate off of the passenger side, and have located the harness. Can the install be done on the passenger side?

Thank you for any help,

Perry

Hello E, welcome.

I believe your 91 is the same as my 96. The wiring can be done on the drivers side. I had enough room to place the "brain and relay" under the switch pad right on the driver's door.

If the door lock switch works both side locks, it doesn't matter which side you use. Just be careful to cut the correct wires.

Good Luck.

Thanks for the reply Ron. I won't be cutting the wires. I pulled the pins/sockets out of the factory harness and used mating pins/sockets to plug into them. Hopefully this can be done with all of the connections as I don't like cutting factory wires.

Do you know if I have the correct wires called out on my diagram?

Thanks,

Perry
