windshield wiper and light switch knobs

i have a 1980 bronco and i am putting in a new dash and instrument gauge with a tachometer but i need to get these knobs off to put that all in.

they don't just pull off with medium effort how else could they come off without breaking them?

theres a little square notch on back of the knog theres a clip there you need to push in and they'll pop off

easy way is a hook type probe ar bend a coat hanger into a small j and use it to release the spring inside the handle once you push it in hold and pull the **** off no problem

very trues thats what i use as well but with my latest electrical problems my picks are in my box at work and they arent gonna see me on my day off again made that mistake and when you get paid flat rate you gotta clock in for checking a guys tire presure where i work
