I have a 71 bronco and the restore was going good until I installed the new windshield and w/s cowl panel. the w/s now leans back to far and i can't figure out why. When I put the new pieces in it looked the same as the old ones. What did I miss?

how is the metal where the hinge rides? is it rusted out or have any decay? that might be something to look at. Look from up under the dash. there is a chanel that runs along the front/bottom of the w/s frame that can rust out because of weather. that might be in need of strengthening or repair. this might be a portion of your problem

Did you install the rubber seal between the hinge? That thin rubber seal will raise the angle of the W/frame.
