winch size?

what size winch is good? i hear weight and a half. but thats 6750 seems small.

your math is a little off. probably the minimum weight rating you should go for is 8000-9000. you can use lighter, but you will be seriously stressing it and cause premature failure

the general sensus for a FSB is a 9k winch.

take your trucks weight, X 2. otherwise you will over work it... think how many people weigh more than you if you decide to hook up your 9000lb winch to a rig that weighs 8000lb an up, kiss it goodby 12000lb is better suited. but hey, feel free to throw your money out the window, or not help someone on accout the winch you spent your precious money on is too small and don't want to !@#$ it up... yea you will be the life saver of the day...lol
