I have a floating gauge an when i hit bumps or turn mine moves about all the time.
If it is related to bumps, then I'd suspect a connection problem, (could be at any connector in the path). When I made my access hole for the sender unit, I replaced the connector on the sender and ran a new ground from one of my ground distribution blocks (not in your truck, I added these). That greatly improved the accuracy of the gas gauge so that when it hits a needle above
E I have just about 5 gallons in my 33 gallon tank. One caution though,
never put your full faith in the gauge keep an eye on the miles once you have a good idea of what you get in MPG. Sort of a sanity check  . I wouldn't worry too much about movement from sloshing though I can't say I have ever had that problem. It could be a problem with the sender but as long as it settles out and the gauge is fairly accurate. I have seen the reading vary when the front is setting significantly higher or lower than the rear, but the sender float is located to keep that at a minimum.
Pictures showing Ground Buss distribution blocks, (one of last years projects to improve my Broncos electrical system).
Good luck,
