The Bronco has a difficult time starting....because the Gear Selector on Column is messed up. First the Loop Cord is broken so I cant see what gear I am, although I know how to find drive, rev, etc......anyway I was still able to start the Truck. But lately...I must jiggle and jiggle the Gear Selector Column until the Truck realizes it is in Park, then it will turn start right up. I was advised that it is propably the GEAR SELECTOR SWITCH, I look everywhere in my manuals and cant find a part by that name.

Any thoughts on this matter.

Thank you,

Yah, I forgot that one. It is also a suspect in the chain, but if just wiggling the shift lever gets it to start I'd suspect the ignition switch adjustment first.

Good luck,

That is most likely because the ignition switch is out of adjustment. Do the following alignment procedure and it will probably solve your problem. http://broncozone.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=7243

Thanks for the tech tip...I have printed your instructions and am going to adjust the ignition switch. If that doesnt do it, then I will check the Nuetral switch at transmission. But what do I do with the switch, check it, replace it, clean it? Messing with Tranny makes me nervous.
