Unless the one you have is bad, keep it. What transmission do you have in it now, C6 or A4OD? If it is a C6 you will have P N D 2 1 on the shift indicator. If it is a A4OD you will have the a D with a O around it plus D 2 1. Either one should bolt up to the 302. Also, are you going to have it carbe'd or EFI'd? That makes a difference in the linkage hardware for the kickdown.
I am upset to hear that your only replacing the 300 w/a 302. If your going through the trouble of the swap, at least make it worth it. As far as tranny goes, if you have a auto I'd say a c6, and if you have a manuel, i'd with out fail say a ZF. Good luck either way >-
