I just purchased a 1989 Bronco II. I have a rain water leak around the top right corner (passenger side) of the windshield. Safelite has replaced it once already and is coming tomorrow to replace it again. Unfortunately I don't think it's they're problem. Any one experienced this problem?

yo,

Here is TSB 95-12-1 for 1984-1990 BRONCO II and other models..

It describes the application of primer..etc..

Ford put TSB 99-2-3 out for this in later years and models; it all has to do w/the Proper application of the butyl sealer. Hopefully, they will clean the are well and ensure that

The customer may report a water leak from the windshield. This may be caused by a skip or a void in the production sealer somewhere around the periphery of the windshield.

Apply a bead of Liquid Butyl Sealer (F8AZ-19554-CA) under the weatherstrip around the periphery of the windshield. Refer to the appropriate Service or Workshop Manual for weatherstrip removal where necessary. DUE TO DIFFICULTY IN DETERMINING THE FEXACT LOCATION OF A WATER LEAK, IT MAY BE IDEAL TO SEAL THE ENTIRE WINDSHIELD PERIPHERY (SIDES, TOP AND BOTTOM) TO ENSURE REPAIR OF THE LEAK.
