my truck all of the sudden started shuddering violently today on my way to work and would barely stay running. i pulled over and fooled with it a bit and pulled off the fuel filter. alot of water ran out i knew because it had no smell. i drove through some small puddles yesterday i suppose it sucked some in. i changed the filter, and sprayed in some starter fluid, but it still spudders and stalls like it has no gas.

do i have to remove all fuel components? injectors, rails, lines etc...???

also both of the cats are getting so hot while tryig to start it they were pouring off white smoke from the outside of them. not out of the tailpipe.

does not make sense to me.

Sounds like you got some bad gas. I'd disconnect the fuel line either blow it out run the pumps to clear the water out. I had that happen once and I pumped about two gallons out of the tank. Of course the gas station denied it was their fault.

Good luck,

:)>-

I've had this happen to me also....but just once....i forgot to stop for gas on day before we left out and had to stop at a little quiki-mart for gas...i have never had my bronco cough and fart, sputter that way before...but to make along story short clean her out...i also used some menthol rubbing alcohol in the tank to dry out the lines...worked great and cheaper than gas line heet.... i fixed it. i pulled my pluggs and turned it over a few times and that seemed to blow out all the crap that was in the cylinders. run better than it did before actually.
