So I was browsing the auto trader web site and came across this 1986 Eddie Bauer Bronco 86 Bronco Now i talked to the guy via email who lives 3 miles from me. He says he bought it with a blown motor so he put a 302 ** mustang motor in it. 3 weeks of driving and the tranny let go. After he replaced that an got it working he bought a mustang. His wife told him one has to go. He chose the Bronco. He says he will let it go for 2700. What do you guys think?

I have some more pictures but for some reason they wont upload

Oh course not. LOL. Are you saying I have no life?

Did they retain the efi when they put the mustang engine in?

I would drive 3 miles to buy that before I dorve 500 miles to buy mine if that's any concellation. I see some rust on the lower rear quearter, but hey the thing is 20 years old. I would definitely get up under it and have a good look at the floor pan first. If that rear quearter is rusting I would take a really good look at the bottom of the tailgate and the roof cap seals to see what condition they are in.

Oh yeah he isnt trying to hid anything from me. He straight out told me that the thing has the bronco rust. The wheel wells aint bad and nether is the tail gate but the rust is still htere. Man my 82 had what i liked to call extra ventilation in the wheel wells and tailgate.

My 86 isnt bad rust wise except for the apron under the grill, with a six and a 4spd I paid 2500.00 for mine. Then again I bought mine from a mr. magoo when it comes to cars. At the dealer every 3k needed or not!!

The body looks good, as does the paint, from the pics. It might be worth $3K if nothing major is wrong , like a bad rear axle. JSM84

I think you have to swap the computer with the engine.
