Vin Location

Trying to find the VIN on the frame of my 71. I've looked all over and can't find it. Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The VIN is found on the right frame rail where it bends down under the firewall about where the starter is . It's stamped on the top but will be hard to see . Wire brush , solvent until clean then rub some chalk on it & hopefully it will show up . Only other places for it is on your glove box door & if it's survived 30+ years , a sticker on the driver rear door jamb .

I also found the VIN on a plate on the inside of the glove compartment door on my 66 and 73...
