Hi all. I had an idea on how to cut down on some of the mess of vacuum hoses.

My idea is this: Instead of haveing 3,4 or 5 vacuum hoses going to the vacuum manifold tree on the intake manifold, how about running one large vacuum hose to the front of the engine (or how ever long is needed). install as many T fittings along the length of the hose as needed for all the hoses going to the manifold. In essance, this settup would just be an extension of the vacuum manifold tree. That large hose could even be looped back to the manifold tree to another large tree fitting, that way there would be plenty of vacuum for all components that require vacuum. I think this setup would eliminate alot of clutter.

Do any of you see any foreseeable problems with this setup?

Your opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I think you should ty it out and let us know how it works. It sounds like it could work as long as you get a good seal. Care to be the Guinea pig?? :-"

Shouldn't be any problem at all but I wouldn't go any larger than one size up. They make reducing T's so it should be easy to tap off where necessary.
