Hi, I’m new to the forum. I recently purchased a 1971 Bronco. It has the Dana 20 transfer case with the t/2 shifters. I’ve tried ever possible shifting pattern and am unable to get it in gear. Pushing in the clutch or letting the clutch out does nothing to engage the transmission. Any help would be appreciated. Have tried rolling back and forth hoping that would engage the gears but nothing seems to work. Thanks

Hey Bret, welcome to the zone!
Based on your description, it sounds like the clutch may be worn out and not engaging.
As the clutch wears, the pedal freeplay gets smaller and smaller until there isnt enough pressure on the clutch to move the truck.
Push the clutch pedal very lightly on and off at the top of its travel. It should feel very loose for 1/2 to 1 inch of pedal travel. If its tight, your clutch may be worn or mis adjusted.
The adjuster is at the trans end of the clutch linkage. Shorten it a bit to get some clearance and try moving the truck.
Hope that helps
Cheers
