so i finally got around to taking a good look at my engine today when i was replacing my air filter, and i noticed that i have a hose that isn't connected to anything. its just sitting there by the charcoal filter next tot he battery. does this fit into the charcoal filter? yes int he picture that is a paper towel in the charcoal filter.... wasn't me don't ask

also there is a metal tube near what i think is the egr valve? i doubt that this is supposed to not have a hose on it

the engine is an 89 5.0 efi

The first picture is the fuel tank vent line. It should go to the carbon canister, check the vacuum diagram on the radiator support. The second one is probably the point that the canister purge valve should hook to. Looks like someone ripped it out.

Second one actually is just for running the engine coolant through the throttle body. Should be one on bottom just like it. All that does is help heat up the motor faster by warming the air being pulled in. You can leave it off, and it wont affect anything.
