Hi everyone,

Remember how I was trying to sell my 1984 Bronco? Then I came across one on Ebay that was near me? Well, I made the guy an offer an he accepted it. We went yesterday and picked it up. That's a whole different story about towing it back.

So anyways, Here are the specs:

Mine- 1984 4x4 XLT Manual Locking Hubs... 302 C6 transmission automatic. Red interior. Bench seat in great shape. Front seats...need help..lol. Manual Windows...except for the tailgate. Manual Locks. Hard top.

The "new" one. - 1984 4x4 XLT - Automatic Locking Hubs Red interior. 351W C6 Transmission automatic. Engine was professionally rebuilt about 5 years ago but it was never buttoned up and fired up. Seats seem to be in a lot better shape than mine. Even the center console still has the lock on it...Mine doesn't. It has running boards..mind don't! This one has a lot more rust on the body & frame from what I could tell. Mine has rust but not that much...LOL. Power Windows & Power Locks & Cruise. Need to put a battery in this thing to see if the "power" stuff works...interior looks just like it did in 1984 (well to a point). Hard top. Windows on hard top looked tinted to me last night but it was getting dark..so...It even has the floor mats in it!

So...anyways...this is what our plan is so far. Remove seats from new Bronco...Install in Old Bronco...Possibly change out center console?? Pull engine...figure out what to do with 351 since it was never buttoned up or fired up...it probably needs be taken apart and checked out. Possibly take out dashboard and put in old bronco.

Okay...are you with me so far? Fix rust on Old Bronco. Repaint Old Bronco...

So if there are any parts you all are interested in on the newer bronco...speak up now! We have essentially 10 days to get this thing stripped...and out of the place where we are storing it!!!! It'll be going to the junkyard on a flatbed truck. This weekeend we are planning on stripping the "new" Bronco!

I didn't get much of a look at the exhaust system on this Bronco. I'll drive over to the place where we are storing it tomorrow and get some pics...and take inventory on how everything looks. I'll also see if I can get a battery into it to test the "electric" parts (windows...etc). I'll try to get over there sometime around noon (cst) to do this so I can post the pics in the afternoon.

Crap. I just thought about something....I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to test the electrical on this "newer" vehicle because the engine is completely put together. I'm still planning on going over and taking pictures.

Ok...just went and took pictures and took stock of what was what. I did a dumb thing as well...LOL...more on that in a sec.

There is no exhaust on the "new" Bronco that I could see. The cat is there but it's a rusted out p.o.s. from what I could tell. Heck, I'm not even sure I was looking at the cat. Anyways...attached are some pictures of the vehicle and the pictures are mine are down in the classifieds...

I do not know if any of the electrical components work on this vehicle.

Like I said in a previous post...we're taking most of the interior...we may keep the engine (unless the right offer comes along)...So if you want something after looking at the pictures...holler now or forever hold your peace. I can store some things but I have to get this vehicle out of where it is at this weekend!

Now for my dumb thing...I popped the hood and it did that typical slightly ajar but I'm not going to open for you thing...so I gave up trying to get it open all the way. So I tried to get it "all the way down...didn't want to do that...so...well....the hood was pretty much in really good shape...but...I was trying to get it back down so I hit it...didn't help it nor did it help me out any(little swelling but it will be okay)... but if you see the slight dent in hood...that's from my hand.

So...yes I can break boards with my hand but I can't shut a freakin' hood with it...LOL. Metal don't break...pine boards do.

Okay back to the subject at hand...Let me know what you want....don't email me at my yahoo address...(I hardly ever check it). Send me a message here...or reply to this post.

Coleen thanks for the pictures I really would like to get the rear spare tire mount from you, but all I actually need is the part that mounts to the tailgate.

Thanks Jagger

If anybody is interested in buying the 351W or the Transmission...let me know. We're pulling it out anyways but we're not sure we are going to want to keep it. Don't have much of a place to store it.

The engine was professionally rebuilt about 5 years ago but it was never buttoned up or fired up.

Just let me know.

Just wanted to update you all on what has been spoken for and what is still available (be sure to refer to the first post to see what I'm taking for myself)...

Spoken For: Tachometer (instrument cluster)

Spoken For: Latch that is attached to tailgate for Spare Tire Holder

Possibly Spoken For: Tailgate with window included.

Everything else is still available. I have this listed on Fullsizebronco's website as well. So...speak up if you are interested in anything. I check here first before going over there and checking the thread there!

We'll be going over to the Bronco and pulling parts tomorrow and Sunday (provided it does not rain). I'm planning on hauling it off to the junkyard on Monday (again, subject to change due to the weather).

I'm going to give you an update on what we found today...

The tailgate...oh what a pain that is...we pulled the spare tire latch off the back (jagger's part). I had to get the window down on the tailgate so I pulled off the access panel so I could get to the wiring. The screws for the access panel were rusted so I knew something was up. Tailgate looks good on the outside but boy is it screwed up on the inside. Latch was rusted right through and I was able to push the tailgate open once we got the window down. So...needless to say...that part is definitely going to the junkyard. I'm too honest to sell the tailgate to someone in that kind of shape. Yes, the pics make it look good but once in it....eeeeekkk!!!!

So tomorrow, we are going to pull the tailgate glass if anybody needs it.

Does anybody need a hard top?? Also anybody need a bench seat???

Worked mostly on the interior today and will be working on it again tomorrow before we start pulling all the other parts. So I'll be checking in frequently tonight and in the morning before going back to work on it some more.

We're also pulling the engine and maybe the transmission tomorrow.

So if something looks ******* I'll let you know and then let you make the decision on whether or not you want it.

Colleen
