Truck stalling when hot

I need help guys! I dont wanna put money into the truck that I dont need. Here's the problem...

When I start the truck up it is fine but once it gets hot it stalls out, starts to hesistate lil bit. and the gauges act goofy.. It didn't start doing this until I recently put gas in the tank on friday.. I thought I had Bad gas so I put dry gas and changed the fuel filter. But it starts surging then it stalls out. I think it could be my ignition coil but I'm totally not sure. I do have a check engine light on but that is my egr valve position sensor. i put a new one on and it wouldn't stay running at all once i give lil gas. it only does this when its hot. and i recently put plugs, cap, and a rotor so any help is appreciated. and its a 302 with 167000 miles on it...

so it runs totally fine when cold, like it has no problems at all?

try ue tfi modulatoe its on the distributor its like 50 bucks or u could just buy a new distributer for like 250 for the msd but i would check ur codes again and see if you get any codes telling u whats wrong

didnt you say that you have an egr position code? that sounds like a winner to me if the valve is stuck (carbon build up) depending on the position it stuck yes it will run like cr*p when hot or one other thing comes to mind is if that is good check your cats if need be drill a small hole befor them if runs noticably better one or both are plugged but remember to make it a small hole as you will need to run a self tapping bolt into it when done if thats not it

yea it only does it when its hot. i cant see it being the egr valve cause i was going up mountains so i had to floor it just to get up it and when i turned it off it started stalling out on me. and the one time i had to leave it cool down a bit before i could start it again. i am noticing some hessitation sometimes and i'm burning way too much fuel also. I dont know I will have to check it out on my day off.
