I'm thinking of parking my bronco in a garage until I can get a solution to my parking problem. I'm unsure on how long it'll take so what can I do to keep the truck in good condition while it sits. Should I drain gas, oil ATF etc?

depends on how long it will be sitting when i used to put my one of my trucks away for the winter i put it on stands just high enough so the wheels were barely on the ground so they dont flat spot then change all fluids run the gas as low as possible and if it was for a real long time would also put what they used to call green plugs instead of spark plugs they pull moisture out of engine to prevent rust

if at all possible try to start it at least every other week or invest in a good trickle charger to keep your battery alive

you could add something like stabil in the gas tank or something to help preserve the gas thats in there. You may actually want to leave quite a bit of gas in it to help prevent condensation, or at least thats what i've seen said on some other forums.

You know Fire, I've read about this somewhere...and yes, you should fill the tank completely and add stabil to it. Run it for a while with stabil in the fuel, so that it get's into the whole fuel system. Somebody told me to completely take the wheels off and stand the car on blocks so that the spring and shock system has no pressure on it. I don't know why they said that. Deflate the tires to about ten or fifteen psi and lay the wheels down. Take the battery out and keep it someplace on a piece of wood, not metal or concrete, so that you can charge it about every three weeks. I'd run a quart of Lucas oil through the crankcase to coat the cylinders and pistons and stuff. Don't drain the oil. If it's going to be outside, put a cover on it. Also, spread some rat and mice poison and traps around it so they don't get in the car or under the hood. Rats like to chew on stuff like spark plug wires and they sh*t all over everything. It all depends on where and for how long you will store it.

Everything sounds easy except for the rat poison, now I'm gonna have to stand guard in the garage with a shot gun! Hopefully, I can put work in on it on a regular basis, its gonna be a wheelin' truck.
