Transmission Torque converter

My torque converter needs to be changed i was going to replace but i was told that since i have almost 190,000 miles on the transmission i should just have it rebuilt any suggestions?

When i step on the gas i have no power i can floor it and the car barely moves when its in park or neutral it idles fine but when i put it in drive and step on the gas its slow to move and i have to press it lightly if i want it to move at a decent speed. i've had a few guys that work on cars drive it and they've told me that is what the problem could be i've done a full tune up on it i changed the fuel filter. and i still have the same problem. i did a self diagnostic test and i got codes 67 neutral safety ciruit failure and 32 EVP circuit below minimum voltage of 0.24 volts.i don't know if the 67 code would have anything to do with the way my truck is running but i bought a new evp sensor i just need to install it. if changning the torque converter will solve my problems i'll be happy but if there is a cheaper way fix whats wrong and i don't have to do anything with my tranny that will make me /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

try a tube of posi traction fluid, or friction modifier that you would put in the rear end. my torque converter has a terrible shutter a 45 to 55 mph. tried a little a bit and it worked... for now anyway. talked to a tranny guy and he told me to try it. said it definetly won't hurt the tranny and may not cure if but if it was a worth a try. only 4 bucks too.
