Transfer case shift into 4hi but not 4low

I have a 90 bronco, when i push the 4x4 hi put it goes in, when i push the 4x4 low button the indicator just flashes. Any ideas?

Yes, you are suffering from SOTF ****. So you can either spend half a day diagnosing the entire stupid system and maybe throwing money at some parts, or you can just get this and be done with that electro mess in 5 minutes....... :-"

Do you have the transmission in Neutral? I had the same problem but the other way, I couldn't get mine out of 4lo, read the Owners manual no less, and found out you need the tranny in Neutral to shift in and out of 4lo.

I went through that the other day. I RARELY use four low, and took me a few trys till it went. Gotta be barely moving, in neutral, or it will not go. Took me three or four try's, but once it went, took alot less effort the next time.
