My AOD tranny is having trouble shifting while driving and rattling alot in reverse. I was going up a hill at 3000 rpms and 15 mph. Any ideas on what is causing this?

I know I don't have to tell you this, but that doesn't sound good. It sounds to me like the tranny bit the dust, probably the clutches are shot. Was there any warning prior to this that that you noticed? Does it seem to be shifting between gears, ignoring that you aren't moving very fast? It is possible that the torque converter is bad and just not transferring the power to the transmission. I think I'd take it to a shop you trust and see what they have to say.

Good luck,

:)>-

The truck was flatbedded when the fuel pump went and the wrecker driver pulled it 3 feet in park until i stopped him. The tranny was also rebult around 20,000 miles ago.

Oh man, that does not even sound good. Sounds to me like you should be contacting the towing company. They have insurance for that type of thing. I'll be watching to see how this pans out for you.

Contact our insurance company for advice or a lawyer, you should have some recourse.

Seems to be his problem if his guy is loading the truck the wrong way. I would fight the **** out of it and not to mention, make it known that his tow company is crap and his drivers don't know what they're doing!

They can't tow for ***** I watched them tow a BMW convertable once and as they pulled into the lot the rear bumper smacked the sidewalk and ripped it upward.
