I recently order a lift from jeffs bronco grave yard which did not come with any directions and now i am stuck on how to install the track bar drop bracket. If anyone has tips or pictures on how to put it in that would be great.

Thanks

Hi Spegg.,

It's pretty straight forward (There's 2 styles, yours should be the '66-'75 type) .....it slips over the orig. aft. you die-grind the tac-welds off the top bolt. I believe you can re-use that bolt in that same hole if it's long enough.

The old hole that held the track-bar gets a bolt. The lower hole is where the track-bar now mounts. I believe there's an anti-crush spacer that goes there as well.

Probably best to weld the new bracket in place, in a few spots, even though it's bolted.

Hope that's clear as mud....

This is the drop bracket they sent me but it does not fit over the stock location. http://broncograveyard.com/bronco/i-13510-drop-trac-bar-bracket-66-75.html Do I even need to use this with a 2.5 inch lift?

I've not seen one like that..?? Doesn't look like it would work on my rig.. Maybe it goes on the inside of the existing one. (or on the '76-'77 model)

"Do I even need to use this with a 2.5 inch lift?"

Only if your draglink & track-bar are not parallel, or nearly so.

I don't have one on mine but it seems ev. rig is different.

"Bump-steer" would also be a clue that you need one.

Look on Toms or Wild Horses website... they'll have pics of the ones I've seen/used.

There's also a "riser" that welds on the axle at the other end that serves the same purpose.
