towing questions

i have an 88 ford bronco full size with an automatic transmission i was wondering if i can tow this bronco with all four wheels on the ground with a tow bar. is there anything special i have to do or anything with the steering. if you have any suggestions of a type of tow bar please let me know. ill be hopefully pulling the bronco long distances but no longer than 300 miles at a time

General rule of thumb is;  The tow veh. should be approx. 20% bigger/stronger than the towed veh.

A trailer is always a better/safer way to go. And the same rule applies.
the tow vehicle would be a 2011 GMC Sierra Z71 with the 5.3 V8. its got the full towing package. i would really like to not have a trailer so i wouldnt have to deal with it when i got to where i was going. in a few years im looking to buy a ford f250 diesel and ill probably get a trailer to tow it then. hopefully a goose neck flat bed trailer. thanks for your reply

I'd remove the drive shafts just to be on the safe side.  It would prevent possible transmission or  transfer case dammage.
