I recently sold my suburban and need to haul a boat about 5 miles to a lake. The boat is a 21 ft air nautique. The terain I would be pulling on his flat to mild/moderate grades 25 to 30 mph. My 66 Bronco has a stout hitch on it, but I am trying to decide if it could handle the load that far without killing it that far. The boat is on a tandem axle with good trailer brakes. Any feed back would be appreciated

I towed my 18ft. Cole with a big block Chev. motor, tandem trailer but wasn't really comfortable. (only once)

It wasn't the going, it was the stopping in a given emergency, (although it never happened) that worried me.

If your rig out weighs the boat & trailer....that's a good thing.

Even with trailer brakes, an emergency could cost you a boat, a veh., or more....

Thanks for the information. Luckily the boat does not outweight the vehicle.
