Hello all,
I have a 93 5.8L and am having a couple issues. I recently gave it a full tune up including new plugs, wires, cap, and rotor. In the morning, it will sometimes have a very tough time starting - starter fires, but engine will not kick over. Also, sometimes during normal driving - when I am lightly touching the gas - the engine lags and the rpm's go up and down a little. When I hit the gas, it runs fine.
2nd question- I checked my timing and it is scoping at 20 deg. btdc - the spec is 10. When I unplug the (sorry, but I don't remember the name of the part) part to check the timing, it is perfect at 10 deg btdc. Any ideas?
Could all this be a vacuum leak? If so, where?
Sorry for the long post and Thanks for the help!!
