It seems kinda self explanatory just by looking at it, but how do u take the top off the 92 bronco? are there any special thiings u have to do or have? How heavy is the top, can 2 people lift it? I need just any tips or pointers on this so I dont break anything that cost a lot of money. Thanks guys.

Two people should be able to handle the top. It is removed by taking the decorative trim off that is around the inside edges. Then remove the bolts along the side and back of the cab roof. Newer trucks have 4 bolts that require a Torx key to remove them. There have been a few posts lately on where to find replacement 6 point bolts for them so you don't have to mess with them any more once they are out.

Good luck,

:)>-

Tamper proof Torx 40 and they will all be torxs (seat belt is a big torx dont remember what, but be sure to take those off and the brake light cable on the driver side right by the tailgate), they arent going to come out too easily the first time....

You'll find a link to top removal in the Tech Articles forum under "Miesk5", just go to the Body section on that site. The top only weighs 120lbs., but two people are better than one to handle it. Like posted, the 90-up Bronco's have the Tamper/Theft-proof Torx bolts, so you will need the proper size to remove the bolts. Store the top on some boards to protect the rubber seals.

Beware that when you take the top off, you may not want to put it back on. I've had mine off of the 84 for about 3 years!!! :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
