Classic Roadsters II, Centre, MN is about to start making a tonneau style and possibly a full size soft top for the Bronco. They have their own upholstery shop that has been in business for about 28 years and have produced soft tops for cars as well as full interiors so experience is top of the line.

They are in the development stage of the tops, so it will be a few weeks before they are ready for sales (as of 11 APR 06).

They are trying to find out how much interest there would be in these.

They will be made of Haartz nylon material, a very high quality material used by some major auto manufacturers, and it would come with either a clear or tinted window. The top will mount using the existing hard top holes, so you will not have to drill any holes; the tailgate section will be secured with an industrial strength velcro, so no drilling will be necessary there either. The tonneau style top will cost $375.00, and the full soft top will be $500.00

Classic Roadsters II site is http://www.classicroadsters.com/

At present, there is currently no info on the Broncos there yet, but you can still take a look and see the work they have accomplished.

Please add your comments & any suggestions you have; I'll ask Bill from Classic Roadsters to look at them & offer more info.

update; Bill wrote to me that "...should be ready to go in about a week or so..." dated 24 MAY 06;

"...Our full top will still be a while, we are only going to be ready with the tonneau, but we will be able to beat STC on price and quality..."

I might be interested in both. Can ya use the tonneau with the back seat down or does it have to be removed?
Bill said he will send me the pics as soon as they finish the protoype and I'll ask him then & let you know here.

Bill e mailed me back just now; he wrote that the rear seat stays in-place, can be folded down, no need to remove it. Pics coming soon.

What are the chances that you could use them both interchangably? That would be my ideal setup.
non capisce, sorry.

If you mean to use rear seat w/passengers, will wait for pic; expect the pics soon. However their is the shoulder belt issue for 92-96.. Forget what year you have.

I hadn't thought about the seat belt issue...but what I was thinking ...is it would be nice if the 2 soft tops (Tonneau style & full size Soft Top) could be interchanged with each other whenever you wanted. I was thinking maybe they could use the same mounting hardwear.

ok! I'll ask Bil next week; I have to give him a break from my other Qs. Will let you know.

There is also the 3rd High Mount Brake Light issue as well; some have made mounts for it on their spare tire carrier and on tailgate top (interior side); I suggested to Bill that they could think about incl. a mount (HD ind. Velcro, etc.) on the top(s) and one on the cab roof area for when the top is down. Wiring could be weather pack type quick disconnects

I don't see any lights on these!

Also notice the chrome front hubs...mine are black with chrome caps. Is that a aftermarket hub cover or did some come that way?

One more question...I really like the look of that first one...what kind/size of lift would you guess that to be and what size tires/wheels?

I can't view the hubs enuf to see what brand they are;

could be, if swapped to manal hubs:

http://www.superwinch.com/pages/hubs.html#Anchor-35882

http://www.gowarn.com/hubs.asp

or prob. http://www.milemarker.com/hubs.html

the Supreme type

or if stock OEM Ford auto hubs, made by Warn for Ford; they are mostly ss w/red&black 4x4 lettering

http://www.supermotors.org/clubs/superford...ia.php?id=81975

------------------

Can't tell on the tires or Lift either; prob 4 to 6"

I have a bunch Links to diff Lifts other owners have made here:

http://home.comcast.net/~miesk5/BroncoTech...0&%20Suspension

look for:

Auto Fab

Black Diamond

**** Cepek

JBG

ProComp (Explorer Pro Comp)

Rancho

Skyjacker

Superlift

-------------

Many w/92-96's don't bother w/a 3rd brake light; but where we live the State Troopers jump on anythAng that looks like a violation, they even pull over ants for jaywalking
