The dreaded tailgate window

I've got an 84 bronco xlt, the back window went down with the key in the tailgate, and now it wont go back up or anything. I've tried with the tg up and down.When you turn the key full left or right, you can hear a very faint *tink* noise, like the sound of power goin through the switch.But the motor doesn't get power,so the glass is stuck all the way down. How can I get the window back up?

If it will go doen but not up, I would expect a problem in one of the connections in the purple with light green stripe wire back to the driver switch.

muahahahaa, I've fixed it /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> so glad. It was the safety switch in the tg latch, so gummed with grease and dirt, it wasnt makin contact. A little PJ penetrant and a qtip, it works just great.
