that smell

ok this is weird but its proably nothing when i gun it i get a smell i cant tell what it is and a rattiling noise and there is a small leak from the trans right where the shifter bar goes in. i think the rattiling is some heatshield but im not sure could also be my exhaust i guess but its got some real power and i like it just not the smell

Does it rattle at idle? If so, put it in neutral, put the parking brake on and slide under just enough to see if you can tell where it's coming from (the rattle that is). I'm not an expert on tranny's,but it sounds like you have a fluid leak that is either dripping onto the tranny, or it's the tranny itself. Best way to tell is wait til it's cool, slide your finger on the stuff and smell it. Most likely it's motor oil that has leaked out of the valve cover gaskets and trailed down to your tranny...but I'd check everywhere with a flashlight to see exactly where the leak is originating from.

what ever it was i adjusted my timmins and it went away
