My temperature gauge is not working. I have changed out the sensor and it still doesn't work, so i have pretty much narrowed it down to the actual gauge in the vehicle. Rather then going nuts with ripping apart the dash I would prefer to put in a new gauge. Not in place of the non working one, just a new gauge that i can mount somewhere near the dash. Could someone please give me good instructions on how to install one. I would really appreciate it. Thanks

should be straight forward if you use an aftermarket just follow the directions. or replace the stock gauge with an original style brand new one. they have them at lmctruck.com and probably at JBG.

Just get an autometer guage, or similar. They come with very easy instructions. Consider an A pillar guage pod. Looks very cool in a Bronco. But you will have to find 2 more things to hook to an after market guage.

one afterthought. did you use teflon tape when you installed the temp sensor? i assume you've checked everything thoroughly and know what you're doing - sounds like it. but, if by chance you did use tape i know that it can cause some issues or at least i had thought it did. could be wrong. wouldn't be the first or last time.

Teflon tape is definately a NO NO, the threads are designed to seal an youneed the thread contact to the intake manafold to provide the ground for the instrument. Also, what year truck is it? Newer ones with EFI use two sensors, one for the computer and one for the gauge.

Good luck,

:)>-
