Need to change the door crank shaft where it connects at the vacuum control motor. Plastic piece on my 1987 Eddie Bauer Bronco broke off. Actual door is still functioning, however it doors not work properly being it is no longer connected to the vacuum motor and as a result my inside window defrost does not work at optimum. Has anyone done this before and do you have any tips. Any sources on where to get a replacement..tried junk yards, but they are all fragile.

Thanks,

Deep

Rockauto.com has a listing for the entire blend door, but when clicking on the Part, it shows Vacuum Checking Valve.

Past searches by me for da same PN shows it in as late as a 98 Continental, 96 Windstar...etc.

Dorman has Blend doors/repair kits, but nothing Listed so far in a quickie searh there...for your 1987

Ive seen later years shafts and door fixes, but don't think they apply to your 87

I think Steve has a fix for ya tho...
