I want to take the top off of my Bronco. What's the best way to build a rack for it so that it doesn't warp while it's sitting off. All tips, tricks, and advice is appreciated. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> Also, does it need to be sitting flat, or can it lean against something (eg. The side of a house).

Thanks

The top needs to be laying flat, but off of the ground to protect the end seals that hang off of the rear edge. I keep mine on top of some old tires on the garage floor. Some folks tie it up to the ceiling with straps, and you could even use an electric winch to raise/lower it. A 2x4 across each end tied to the top with a copule of bolts may help keep the shape if you hang it. You also might find some more ideas in that MiesK5 link I posted in your tach tread.

I built a cheap frame out of 2x4's that is mouted to my small flat trailer. I made the rack for both my Bronco top and my brothers Jeep top. (they are stacked) I bolt mine to the rack so it doesn't shift around in high winds.
