Greetings!
Recently I replaced a tailgate from a 92 Bronco to a 89 Bronco custom. The 92 Bronco had a rear window defroster and the 89 does not. The connector on the 92 was a 4 pin and the connector on the 89 is a 3 pin. I replaced the 4 pin connector with the 3 pin connector and I have one wire left over, which I believed to be the rear defrost wire. The 92 tailgate has a ground wire that I did connect. Having done this and connected the plug, the window does not work, I have no brake lights, no turn signals, no 4 way flashing in the back. I have tail lights, head lights, dome light turn signal in the front and 4 way flashing in the front.
Do I have the wires connected correctly or do I have other issues? Is there possibly a ground wired that I have missed or could look for? There are no other wires to connect to the tailgate. The motor does work, so that is not an issue.
