I'm finally getting my 1984 Straight 6 Bronco on the road and when I changed the oil, I discovered that the oil pan drain plug had been broken off and welded back on. So I bought a new pan, bought the repair manual, and read the instructions. I followed what the book said. Now the engine is lifted up off the mounts, the pan is unbolted and it still will not come off. It won't go past the transmission. HELP!!!!

I am this close to ready to driving my Bronco and I run into a jam like this.

I am going to try a couple other things. Any body have a suggestion?

THE OIL PAN IS DONE!! :)) I just needed more hieght. Also, I figured out something helpful; I had to unbolt the Transmission from it's crossmember support to get the engine high enough.

Maybe that can be a help to somone else.
