my '76 bronco only over heats during the day time. at night it runs between 180-190. during the day it would red line if i let it. some say my timing is the problem. it is off really bad. it will continue to run when i turn off the truck. i have no external timing mark so i can not do it myself. i'm new to the auto mechs. world and have trouble fixing things. any ideas. i put a new thermostate and a new 4- core radiator in it. still a problem. help!!

Questions:

Is your timing pointer missing or the marks on the balancer?

Which engine, carburettor?
