Steering stabilizer

I have a monroe steering stabilizer for 1980 - 96 Bronco and the instructions look easy but I am having trouble

finding the area to place the brackets. It also says I will have to drill into the frame. Is this safe drilling into the frame?

Apperciate any help on installing this just need to know exactly where to start. :blink:

I installed an aftermarket Rancho steering stabilizer about a year ago. Mine bolted onto the long tie rod on one end and I had to drill a small hole in the lower shock mount on the passenger side for the other end of the stabilizer shock to connect to. Do you have a link or something that you can post so that everyone can see what you're setup is like? I've also seen some that clamp on to the frame with a supplied bracket on one end and bolt on to the tie rod on the other end.

i installed a rancho one on my 85 back in 99 or so. i had to drill 2 or 3 holes, cant remember, in the cross member. if you look under the front of your truck there is a line that loops around in this area, you need to un bolt it and pull it out of the way before drilling. my other end also just had a ubolt that hooked onto the drag link.
