Jose, welcome to the board.

One of the first things I might do is install a new steering stablizer shock. That should help clean some of the slop up. After that I would start to replace your front end bushings at the track arm, tie rods, & ball joints.

I hope this will help you out a little.

--- OR---

It could be a worn steering box.

Have someone move the steering wheel back & forth while you watch the box & pitman arm to see if they move at the same time.

Also, you can put the front frame on jack-stands (wheels off ground) then move steering full stroke to inspect all connections.

And/or, put the jack-stands on the axle tubes (wheels off ground) & test/inspect with weight on suspension.

I like keeping all tires on the ground, have someone turn the steering wheel back and forth and looka t every steering component. This will show any tie rod or bushing thats worn. Most times its just the trac bar and it a quick easy fix.

:D/ Hey, just complteted a stone crusher system(knuckle over). I replaced all the bushings along with it. So far It's definetly an improvement, but I still seem to have a little wander at higher speeds. All in all I recomend it, wheteher it be stone crusher, bullet proof ect.

I built my own crossover system like the stone crusher and I have absolutely no play in my steering, however I also rebuilt the steering box (F-250), installed a delphi pump (PSC), and installed a Wild Horses steering shaft, plus I ensured that the track bar was parallel to drag link to eliminate bump steer. These vehicles are 30-40 years old and the miles have not been kind to some of the components. To get good results everything in the system should be examined. P.S. Not to step on toes, but steering stabilizers only mask poor engineering or components that are in bad condition.
