Ok, I know this is a dumb question. However I just picked up my first bronco and actually third vehicle ever. I picked this ride and joined this site so that I can learn as much as possible so I don't have to pay a mechanic crazy money for easy stuff.

So question is....

How much atwaring fluid do I add to my rig?

I just picked it u, all is cherry but noticed it makes a shinning noise when turning the wheel. Ifigure start with thefluid and see if that fixes it. So given that it must be pretty empty, btw is there a sterling fluid "gauge" somewhere?, how much do I add to fill up the reservoir?

In many cases, this (wine while turning) is common with Ford power steering.

Extra fluid won't help but, if the reservoir is low, (There should be a dip stick attached to the cap)

you can add fluid to the proper mark. Do this with the eng. warmed up.

A new or re-built pump usually lessons the noise. The noise won't hurt anything.
