I went to crank my bronco the other day and the batteries were dead. I pushed it off (plus to having a manual) and drove it home to see why the alternator wasn't charging the batteries. It drove rough the way home... I found a bad connection on the alternator's wire to the regulator. I fixed the connection and now when I crank it, it cranks fine but as soon as I let off the starter it dies. I can run it with the starter turning but as soon as i let go of the key it dies. What's wrong? Thanks and happy new year!
