Here is what I got:
You have to wait for the fuel pump to stop priming before the vehicle will start. When it is cold, I turn the key to on and wait about 30 seconds for the fuel pump to stop "buzzing", then it will start no problem. After it is warmed up, I wait about 2 seconds for the pump to stop "buzzing" and it will start no problem. It runs great, however, if I just jump in the vehicle and turn the key without waiting for the pump to stop "buzzing", it will crank and crank and not start.
This is what I did:
Fuel pressure is good, 40psi at the rail.
Spark is good.
Pulled a code 22 (MAP/BP out of range). Replaced MAP
Replaced IAC
Replaced ECT Sensor
I tried to see if the vehicle will start with starting fluid (without waiting for the fuel pump to stop priming). I sprayed starting fluid into the intake, cranked it, it started right up and ran rough for a few seconds. IAC opened up and the truck ran fine.
It sounds as if the computer isn't telling the IAC to open up until it tells the fuel pump to stop priming. The computer is the only thing I can think of that could be wrong.
Thanks in advance.
