I have an 89 bronco xlt with a 306, it has dual exhaust with hedders and everytime i run the truck for a little bit and it gets hot, the starter gets heat soaked i guess and it wont start for like 30 mins, if i wait for it to cool down then it starts up fine, i wrapped the starter in heat wrap and a starter blanket and it still gets hot and wont start, im out of ideas, anyone got an idea as to how to make it start when its already been running for a while?

Cut a coffee can in half, the solid bottom needs to be trimmed to go around the starter, drill holes so it can be bolted on with the starter bolts. The can should be between 1/2 inch to an inch from the starter. Totally cured the problem for me. I have JBA shorty headers.
