Hey Guys,

I am looking for some new wheels. I want to get 15x10 or 15x8. I was wondering which one would sit better on a 33"x12.5" tire. Also I do not know what the bolt spacing is and how much backspacing to get. I want the standard regular wheel. I have a 3 1/2" suspension lift with stock axles. Any help would be great.

--"I want the standard regular wheel"--

The above are not standard/reg.

Either would work with 33's

Both will stick out beyond your wheel wells (with 33's) (especially with the corrected back-spacing) ...even with flairs.

Might want to check your local laws if you're going to street it.

I believe it's "5 on 5.5" lug pattern

I meant standard regular backspacing for a wheel, which I do not know what it is. Thanks for the lug spacing "5 on 5.5"

I know 15x10 and 15x8 are not standard, but want the standard backspacing for them.

Heck, 31" tires with stock rims rubbed the rad. arms on mine. But yeah, my 33's on 15x10 rub as well. I would recommend a 15x10 rim because if you think about it, an 8" rim "squeezes" the tire more than a 10" does. You will get better wear out of the tire w/the wider rim. BUT, you need to check what the manufacturer recommends with what ever tire you buy.

Bully Bob,

You talk about standard B/S, which I am guessing is backspacing, but my question is........what is the standard backspacing? If you don't know that is alright, I am just looking for help on this.

I will be going with the 15x10 wheels.

Gabe, I am assuming that your fenders are cut? Right? If they are, then really you don't have to worry about the backspacing. I think I heard somewhere that standard backspacing is something like 4" or 4.5". As for how far the tires stick out the side w/a 15x10 rim, my 33x12.5s (I am running American Racing AR-767 rims) only stick out 3" past the fender flares on both the front & rear. That isn't going to get you a ticket if that is something you are worried about.

76_front.jpgStandard backspacing is 3 1/4" anything over 3 3/4" w/15" rims will rub the steering knuckles. I run 16" rims with 4 1/2" of B/S and they only clear the knuckles by a 1/4". Less B/S = wider tracking, see how my tires are inside the flares, wish I had of went with 3 1/4" of B/S. just my 2 cents $-)
