The ol' Bronco is testing my limits now...

It is stalling when I brake at a light...idles fine, runs fine on the highway. So I cleaned out the throddle body and replaced the fuel/air regulator/sensor, (it mounts on the right sid of the throddle body...It is still stalling when I come to a stop..any suggestions?? Fuel pump was repaced about a year ago...

Could be tha idle air control motor or the throttle position sensor or the fuel pressure . Do you have a guage to check the fuel pressure ? depending on what year bronc you have there could be 1 or 2 pumps . Theres one in the tank and one in the drivers side frame rail just under where the cab and front fender meet on the drivers side . On my 89 it started hard and had a serious lack of power turned out that the front pump which is supposed to be a pusher pump was actually sucking fuel through the dead pump in the tank . Had to cycle the key many times to get enough gas up there for it to catch prime and then it would start . So I would suggest making sure that if you have 2 pumps that they are both functioning and try cleaning the throttle body and tha IAC . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Another possibility could be a vacuum leak at the power break booster. Inspect the booster for rot holes & the hose going to the intake.

I replaced the idle air control and cleaned the throddle body, pretty gummed up. Its a 90' bronc, and I only have 1 33gal tank. New fuel pump was added about a year ago. What about the vacum leak? I checked the hoses going into the throddle body, I didnt see any holes..

okay..it is only dying/bogging down when I take off from a dead stop, from the park position, and that only happens 50% of the time, but when it finally dies....I cant take off unless I hold the break and give it gas in drive (to keep it from dying). As noted earlier, I have replaced the idle air control and cleaned out the previosly gummed throddle body. The two hoses going into the throddle body appear fine, what about the vacum hose...I am lost here. Also, could it be the throddle position senssor?? However, the rpms are stable at idle, cruise control, etc...only prob is when I take off out of park.....I appreciate all the help guys...

Ahh...its not anything to do with the fuel injection system..no tps, idle air control...its the torque converter..a chip or something, not downshifting right when in drive...
