SPEEDOMETER CABLE

Ok I have had my 1986 Ford Bronco 4X4 since July 2004 and its my first car ever! And I am always fixing things I ordered a speedometer cable hopeing it was what I needed and it wasnt it was the long one I need the short one! IF ANYONE CAN HELP I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT! ANY IDEAS?

Speedo cable for an 86, you should be able to get one from the dealer. If not there, try BroncoGraveyard, LMC or Dennis Carpenter. A quick look in a couple of catalogs I have shows it costing about $50.00.

I LOOKED AT THOSE 3 POSSIBLE PLACES THE FORD DEALERSHIP HERE IN TEXAS SAID IT IS A DISCONTINUED PART??? ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING ELSE? THANKS!

Any parts store should be able to get you one. I got one for my 83 with speed control from my local friendly parts store a couple of months ago. the ford dealer was no help here either. I only know one parts guy that will search the Ford dealer database for me to see if any dealer in the country has an old part left in stock.
