I am swapping a 9 inch ford rear end and carb motor into a 1992 Ford Bronco. Has anyone done this and fixed the speedo problem. I am tossing the speed density EFI in exchange for a carb, so that means i lose the electronic speedo. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

There was a post recently on a new speed sensor that mounts to the rear of the transfer case for your swap. I believe your 92 t-case is in that "gray" area where Ford changed over to SD, and removed the mechanical speedo gear from the t-case and used the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) on the rear axle. Try a forum search, or check Miesk5's Link in the Tech Articles forum.

I am also probably going to use a NP205 I have because I will lose the Auto locking hubs when I do the SAS. I also like the beefier 205. If that has the mechanical speedo, which I believe it does, my problem could be solved. Thanks for the help.
