I got a new distributor, the Proform HEI 1 wire drop-in. I can't find any recommendations on what spark plug to use. Also upgraded is the carb, got a Edelbrock Thunder AVS off-road 650. The block and heads are stock (for now).

Hey, Brian, I'm from Richardson, just down the road. There's no reason you can't use the same plugs as before.

Welcome to the Zone! >

You may want to get a hotter plug to help burn the fuel more efficiently.

Thanks, Dallas, that's what I wound up doing.

I figured since the HEI distro has a hotter spark it would require hotter plugs, but there's not much out there about plug recommendations. I found a reference to Autolite BF32's in a engine building book I got...but those plugs are not made anymore. Found some available on ebay, though.

After I got the stock plugs I saw where NPD is selling Bosch Platinum's as replacements for 351W motors, I may try those next.
