:-B Wife has a 91, 351, E4OD etc with all bells and whistles. About two months ago the skyjacker suspension went on and we replaced the cv and all univ's with spicer sealed units. Now at about 40 mph the bronc "shudders" or vibrates for a few seconds then as your speed goes up it goes away! What gives? We had the rear driveline balanced when the uni's were changed. Any clues would be greatly appreciated! thanks [email protected]

With that e4od it also could be the notorious Convertor Shudder.

My 97 Started doing it only from 35-45, and would go away. It started getting worse to the point of doing it anytime over 35 when you would start to tip in on the throttle. I threw a bottle of Dr Tranny Shudder fix ( stuff is awesome) and it went away within 3 miles, and has not came back for about 5k. I know this spring I have to replace the Convertor, but this bought me time.

Just another idea,as if you put oversized tires on it with the lift that could have been the proverbial straw to break the camels back.

B) Thanks for the replys. SVO1, where did you get the Dr tranny shudder stop? Will try it if i can find any here in SE WA state. may have to go to Spokane to get it. I assume that the converter will need to be changed and what would ya recommend?

If it is the Convertor shudder (convertor sticks halfway between lock/unlock) You can get away with just the convertor as long as it is not really bad and causes other transmission problems (like slipping)

The Dr Tranny stuff I got from where I used to work. You can get it directly from : http://www.lubegard.com/automotive/index.html

Most if not all of the Trans Shops around here throw it in after a rebuild or when they do a service. The stuff is awesome!
