Hey I was just talking to a frined and we were arguing about which was better? TO use an A/C bypass pulley or to get rid of the whole pulley altogether and just shorten the belt which is better?

I don't see any advantage to keeping the pully if you are eliminating the A/C. It just ends up as one more thing taking up space in the engine compartment. My .02 is to get rid of it.

Yeah but I also thought of this tday that even if i did get rid of it and shortened the belt then the tensioner wouldnt hardly be able to reach the belt because it would slant to far downwards.

if you want to get rid of the air pump, you need a shorter belt. i had to measure mine up. took me a couple tries to get the right length. but i wouldn't just leave the pump on there.
